Arequipa is the colonial capital of the Arequipa region in Peru. It is surrounded by three volcanoes and features Baroque buildings constructed from sillar, a white volcanic stone. In its historic center, you will find the Plaza de Armas, an impressive main square. To its north stands the 17th-century neoclassical Basilica Cathedral, which houses a museum displaying artwork and religious artifacts.
Day 1: Lima – Arequipa
Arrival in Arequipa and transfer to the selected hotel. A short rest is recommended.
In the afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., we begin a walking tour of Santa Catalina Monastery, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Jesuit Cloisters, the Church of the Society of Jesus, and Fundo El Fierro. (No transportation included.)

Additional information: Entrance to the Cathedral Museum is not included (panoramic view only). It is recommended that passengers stay in centrally located hotels. Departure: 2:30 p.m.
Day 2: Arequipa – Colca Canyon
Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick-up from centrally located hotels between 7:20 and 8:00 a.m. We head north along the road that skirts the Chachani Volcano, reaching Pampa Cañahuas, a national vicuña reserve. Along the way, we’ll see Chucura snow-capped mountain, the lagoons of Toqra, and Patapampa, known as the Mirador de los Andes (Viewpoint of the Andes), from which you can observe the Ampato and Hualca-Hualca volcanoes and the Andes mountain range. Arrival in Chivay. Lunch on your own.
Check-in at the hotel.
Optional: In the afternoon, a guided walk around the Chivay area (approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes). After the walk, we visit La Calera hot springs (entrance fee not included; only for passengers staying within Colca town).
6:30 p.m. – Return to the hotel
7:30 p.m. – Pick-up from the hotel for an evening of traditional folk music at a peña (dinner and drinks not included; applies only for passengers staying within Colca town).

Day 3: Colca Canyon – Arequipa
6:00 a.m. – Breakfast at the hotel
We depart for the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to witness the majestic flight of the condors and enjoy the stunning depth of Colca Canyon. We’ll stay here for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. On the return, we take a 1-hour walk from Cruz del Cóndor to Cruz del Cura. We’ll also visit the traditional towns of Pinchollo, Yanque, and Maca, where we’ll see lithic models, hanging tombs, amphitheaters, churches, and agricultural terraces.
We return to Chivay, where passengers will have free time for lunch, then begin the journey back to Arequipa.
Arrival in Arequipa and transfer to the hotel or drop-off at a designated tourist stop depending on hotel location (please inquire).

Day 4: Arequipa – Departure
