Cajamarca is a city in the northern highlands of Peru, nestled in the Andes Mountains. Its historic main square, the Plaza de Armas, is surrounded by Baroque colonial architecture. The Cajamarca Cathedral features a gold-covered altar, while the San Francisco Monastery offers catacombs and a museum of religious art. Nearby is the Ransom Room, where the last Inca emperor, Atahualpa, was held captive.
Day 01: Lima – Cajamarca
Upon arrival in Cajamarca, you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel.

Day 02: City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel.
At the scheduled time, we’ll begin our tour of the historic Plaza de Armas, the facades of the Cathedral and the 17th-century Church of San Francisco. Then we visit the Ransom Room, the only remaining Inca structure in the city, followed by the Monumental Complex of Belén, the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum, and the Hospital of Barons. We end with a visit to Santa Apolonia Hill, a natural viewpoint over the Cajamarca valley, home to the Inca’s Seat.

Day 03: Cajamarca – Lima
Breakfast at the hotel.
At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport with boarding assistance.
